College Football Rankings 2011: 3 Teams Ready to Crash Top 25 Party
There will likely be three new teams in the Top 25 next week. These three teams are all currently undefeated in power conferences and are ready to claim a top spot.
1. University of Michigan
Michigan was on the verge of the Top 25 last week after their thrilling win over Notre Dame. They will cross that threshold this week.
The Wolverines toppled Eastern Michigan 31-3. Denard Robinson is looking better in Brady Hoke's offense and this running game is clicking. They are 19th in the nation with 227 rushing yards per game.
1. University of Southern California
As a sign of how much things have changed for USC over the last three years, this team is 3-0 and they are still not in the Top 25. That will likely end this week.
USC is looking better every week. They dominated Syracuse 38-17 on Saturday, their passing offense is beginning to click and their defense is looking solid.
3. Clemson University
Clemson rolled Auburn 38-24 and snapped Auburn's 17-game win streak. In the process, they should have played themselves into the Top 25. They deserve it.
Clemson are now 3-0. They have scored at least 35 points in all of their games and they just took down a team that was already in the Top 25.
This is a very balanced team. They are 21st in passing offense and 27th in rushing offense. They are definitely ready to crash the Top 25—and will likely stay there.
