Fantasy Football Injury Update: Steven Jackson and 4 Players You Shouldn't Start

Josh TrueloveJun 6, 2018

Injuries: The major reason for Fantasy Football disasters.

Not knowing about injuries and game time decisions makes Fantasy Football almost impossible sometimes. Injuries in Fantasy Football cause panic. Game-time decisions cause zero points.

Hope you have some depth because here are five players you should not start this week in Fantasy Football.

5: Dez Bryant

1 of 5

Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver Dez Bryant is a game-time decision with a quadriceps injury.

The Cowboys play at 4:15 p.m. EST this week, so waiting for this decision could kill your team. If he were playing at 1 p.m. time, it would not be such a big deal, but it is a later game.

Do not wait to hear about Dez Bryant. If you have depth at wide receiver, put Dez on the bench this week.

4: Marcedes Lewis

2 of 5

It is becoming more and more likely that Jacksonville Jaguars' tight end Marcedes Lewis will not play today. Lewis is suffering from a calf injury. Zach Miller will probably start today.

No reason to start Lewis here, put in your backup tight end. If you do not have a backup tight end, get one.

3: Knowshon Moreno

3 of 5

Denver Broncos' running back Knowshon Moreno will probably not play today due to a hamstring injury. He has not practiced all week, and he is currently listed as "questionable.

Even if Moreno plays, Willis McGahee will get the bulk of the carries. If McGahee is available in your fantasy league, go get him. If he is not, start someone off of your bench. Moreno is not a good pick today.

2: Roy Williams

4 of 5

Chicago Bears' wide receiver Roy Williams is suffering from a groin injury. He barely practiced all week, and he is currently listed as "questionable."

Even if Williams does play, Johnny Knox will get the bump up into the starting lineup. Roy Williams could end up being a non-factor even if he does play.

Start someone else.

1: Steven Jackson

5 of 5

St. Louis Rams' running back Steven Jackson is currently a game time decision due to a quadriceps injury. Usually, you should wait and hear for the game time decision for a player like Jackson.

The problem this week is that the Rams are playing Monday night. If you wait until Monday night to make your decision on Jackson, you will be in big trouble. Sign Cadillac Williams if you want to take that risk.

Game time decisions on Monday night for one of your players is the absolute worst. Do not deal with the stress. Play it safe, start someone you know is playing for a fact.
