NFL Power Rankings: 4 Teams with the Most to Win and Lose in Week 2
There is a lot at stake every weekend in the NFL, but here are five teams that will have a lot at stake in Week 2.
The Kansas City Chiefs certainly have a lot to lose this week. Not only were they destroyed at home to the supposedly cellar-dwelling Bills, but they lost one of their top defensive players, Eric Berry to injury for the rest of the season. They now face the task of slowing down the potent Lions offense and keeping Ndamukong Suh out of the backfield. Matt Cassell needs to take advantage of an average Detroit secondary in order to keep the Chiefs from falling to 0-2.

The Giants are also in some danger this week after their poor showing against the Redskins. They have lost a lot of players to injury, especially on defense, and it showed last week. If Hakeem Nicks cannot go, this team could be vulnerable to an 0-2 start. Luckily, they face a team with almost as many injuries as they have. A Rams offense without Steven Jackson is much more manageable, but it provides no excuses for a loss.
If the Bears can pull out a win over the Saints, it could send a clear message to the rest of the league that they can hang with the NFCs best, and perhaps their NFC title game appearance was not as much of a fluke as everyone thought it was. If they can get to Brees and Cutler continues to play smart and not make any bonehead interceptions, the Bears have a great shot at skyrocketing up the power rankings.
However, perhaps no team has more to gain today than the San Diego Chargers. With a win over the Patriots today, not only will they prove that they can beat any team in the NFL, but they will finally rid themselves of their slow-starting demons that have haunted them every September. There are only a few teams in the NFL with the personnel to match up with the Patriots, and the Chargers are one of them.
