Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Game Introduction:
This afternoon, Week 2 of the NFL's 2011 regular season kicks off with a slate of games that includes a rematch of Super Bow XL, pitting the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Seattle Seahawks. The game will be broadcast by Fox at 1 pm.
Both teams have changed considerably since that February 2006 matchup. The Steelers won that game and another Super Bowl since. The Seahawks have steadily headed in the opposite direction, falling into mediocrity punctuated by a 7-9 record and division title last season.
This game is important for both teams. Pete Carroll will be looking to get his Seahawks on track after an inconsistent showing against the San Francisco 49ers. Mike Tomlin will be trying to get the Steelers back to their winning ways after a blowout loss to rival Baltimore in Week 1.
The weather in Pittsburgh projects to be beautiful, fall-type weather with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s. Pittsburgh fans may favor snow and wind, but this is a perfect day for football.
As for early expectations, I'd expect to see the Steelers try to harass quarterback Tarvaris Jackson with blitz packages all day as they try to create turnovers, something they didn't do in Week 1. On offense, I'd expect Ben Roethlisberger to have a big day as he gets his timing down with this stud corps of receivers.
