NFL Picks Week 2: 3 Playoff-Caliber Teams Who Have No Chance on Sunday

Kyle VassaloSep 17, 2011

There are teams who have a serious shot at making the playoffs who are going to find themselves grossly outmatched in Week 2. A bright future won't save these promising teams from the harsh reality check they are going to be served in their second game.

Here are three playoff teams who have no chance on Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are going to drop to 0-2, but they shouldn't be written off this season. They got smacked with two NFC heavy hitters right out of the gate, and though two losses will set them back, it doesn't mean they won't be cracking the postseason.

The Eagles are going to shut down Roddy White and Julio Jones. They are vulnerable against the run, but with all eyes focused on Michael Turner, the Eagles should be able to limit his production.

That's more than the Falcons can say about Michael Vick.

The NFC South could find themselves without a win after Week 2. The Saints have to take on the Bears, who are coming off of a huge win against the Falcons, without Marques Colston.

Even though the Saints are at home, it's a daunting task.

Drew Brees is going to be under fire and the new defensive additions aren't going to be able to do anything to stop Matt Forte from running amok.

The AFC West is wide open, and you could easily make a case for the Chargers being the front-runner. They looked impressive last week against the Vikings, but they face a different animal this week when they take on Tom Brady.

Brady is going to show up Phillip Rivers in a shootout. Though Brady might not throw for over 500 yards, he's still going to produce huge numbers.

Look for Chad Ochocinco to take on a more major role as the Chargers go down in a crushing defeat.
