The result of the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz doesn't change what boxing fans want to see in the coming year from Mayweather:

A potential showdown with Manny Pacquiao.

Both fighters have claimed to be the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, but neither will ever be able to officially prove it until they knock off the other boxer.

Mayweather enters his fight against Ortiz with an unblemished record, but that simply is not enough to prove to the Pacquiao supporters that he is the best boxer in the world.

At this point, all fans can do is speculate on Mayweather's future. Will he hang up the gloves again? Will he ride off into the sunset after his fight with Ortiz? Will he finally step up to the plate and be the man we all want him to be?

A Mayweather vs. Khan fight might not be what the fans want, but it would certainly be an incredible fight. Khan has the speed and power to compete with Mayweather, and while he might not knock him off, he will give him a run for his money.

Hopefully, Pac-Man and Money can put their differences aside and finally step foot inside the ring for one of the best fights the world will ever see. Pacquiao's trainer, the renowned Freddy Roach, has consistently said he favors the match up.
