Hope Solo: Team USA Star Will Combine Skill and Beauty to Win DWTS

When news came out that United States women’s soccer goalie Hope Solo was going to be a contestant on the newest season of Dancing With the Stars, I became an instant fan of the show.

I’m not saying that some of the celebrities they had on before weren’t intriguing enough for me, but what I am saying is that I didn’t care about the show. It just didn’t appeal to me, but now I can’t wait to watch.

Maybe it’s because Solo is an absolutely gorgeous woman, and if I’m honest I’m sure that plays a factor in my excitement.

Solo is not just all about her looks though, and she’s not just some meaningless celebrity trying to resurrect her career. That’s why I think she is the best DWTS candidate they could have picked.

Simply put, Solo is an incredible athlete and I think she has the best chance to win the whole thing.

Solo a competitor to the ultimate degree, and I think that gives her the edge. Consider the fact that she’s still training and playing with the women’s national soccer team through all of this.

Sure it’s a reality TV show, but there is no doubt that DWTS contestants have to physically, mentally and emotionally push themselves. The fact that Solo can do that and focus on being one of the best goalies in the world on one of the best national teams in the world is incredible.

Rather than say she's "rehearsing," she calls it "training." And she freely admits that anything worth doing is worth winning, whether that means getting her hands on a World Cup trophy, Olympic gold medal or a shiny disco ball that goes to the winner of a dance contest.

"Everything I do, I do to the best of my ability, and at the end of the day, it's competition," Solo said. "Yeah, it's dancing, and it's not my cup of tea, but I'm very intense and pretty passionate about wanting to do the best I can."

Not only is she beautiful, but she possesses every talent, every athletic ability and every ounce of will power to win.

She’s a beautiful woman, but she’s also a beautiful competitor.

I’m excited to see what she can do.
