Mayweather vs. Ortiz Predictions: Why Money Mayweather Is Destined for Defeat

The epic bout between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz is sure to be entertaining and there is no doubt that it will be a good fight, but I feel the outcome has already been decided.

Both Mayweather and Ortiz are great fighters and I don’t think that can be disputed, but if you’re asking me Ortiz already has the edge over Mayweather.

One word separates the two fighters heading into this fight: Distractions.

It’s been said that Mayweather “thrives” off distractions and that it actually makes him the better fighter.

I don’t agree with that, especially stepping into the ring with Ortiz.

Ortiz is confident and unlike Mayweather he can back up what he says. According to BBC Sport, Ortiz is ready to put his money where his mouth is. Ortiz, 24, believes the pressure is all on his opponent.

I think Ortiz is going to back up his words and knock Mayweather out of this match.

It’s hard for me to trust a guy like Mayweather who is constantly talking, constantly running his mouth, yet I barely ever see him back up what he says.

Not only that, but his career has been filled with distractions, and I don't think he is focused coming into this fight. Not only does he have to deal with all of his out of the ring problems, but also the continuing circus between him and Manny Pacquiao doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

This is a big chance for Mayweather to prove that he's more than just talk in this very big match, but I don’t think he’ll be able to walk the walk.
