Jon DoveJun 7, 2018

Across the country people use the weekends to catch up on sleep.  However, if your a fan of football you should wake up in time for the noon games.

ESPN's College Gameday has good pregame coverage, but the games are what we all want to watch.  If you decide to sleep past noon, then you will miss some good NFL prospects.

West Virginia pass rushing specialist Bruce Irvin takes to field tomorrow against Maryland.  Kickoff is set for noon, but watching Irvin play is worth losing some sleep over.

He has a rare burst that allows him to turn the corner and create pressure off the edge.  There might not be a player in college that can match his burst off the line of scrimmage.

Clemson is taking on Auburn in a matchup that is sure to excite viewers.  Clemson has two defensive line prospects that could end up going in the first round of the 2012 draft.

Brandon Thompson and Andre Branch both have the ability to play the run and pass.  Branch shows promise as someone that can create pressure on the quarterback.

Thompson is one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the country. He is a versatile talent, possessing the ability to stuff the run and penetrate.

An underrated player on a team with little hope of contending, is Kawann Short.  Short and his Purdue squad do not garner much attention.  However, Short is an excellent defensive tackle prospect.

He looks like a great fit as a 4-3 nose tackle. His strength and ability to stack the line is exceptional.

If you're considering making it a lazy Saturday, at least lay on the couch and watch the early games.

The fun thing about college football is that every game has an impact.  A loss by both Maryland and Clemson could have a major impact on the ACC.
