Fantasy Football Projections Week 2: NFL's Top QBs

John RozumJun 7, 2018

Obviously, in the world of fantasy football, QBs are becoming more and more valuable with offenses becoming heavily geared toward the forward pass.

That being said, it's a lock for QBs such as Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers to dominate each week,

Therefore, here are three other QBs who will live up to expectations in Week 2.

Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

With an array of weapons around him (WRs Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson, TE Brandon Pettigrew and RB Jahvid Best), Stafford is only going to get better and The Motor City is building a lot of confidence.

In addition, this Lions play the Chiefs this week and safety Eric Berry is out for the year.

Either way Stafford was going to have a good game, but with Berry out, it'll be that much easier for him to compile around 350 yards and three TDs.

Matt Schaub, Houston Texans

Right on the cusp of becoming an elite NFL QB, Matt Schaub just needs to be a bit more consistent while under center.

That being said, with a very susceptible Miami pass defense in Week 2 and Andre Johnson continuing to dominate, Schaub should throw no less than 300 yards and two TDs in South Florida.

Also, watch for WR Jacoby Jones to keep breaking out as he takes over the No. 2 spot for the injured Kevin Walter.

Jones becomes another solid target for Schaub, and don't discount TE Owen Daniels either.

Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers

Of the three listed, Rivers is easily the best and the most established.

And this week he and the Bolts travel across the United States to play Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

It's expected to be a shootout, but with the Chargers having a better defense than the Pats, Philip will toss for over 325 yards and hit at least three TDs.

Lest we forget, coach Belichick's pass D allowed over 400 to Chad Henne in Week 1, so there's no reason why Rivers can't be the No.1 QB for fantasy football in Week 2.
