Golden State Warriors Team President Robert Rowell Has a Theme Song
Golden State Warriors Team President Robert Rowell is about as popular as Charles Barkley is in Oakland. Actually, with the way the team is going under Rowell it might be safe to say that Barkley maybe more welcome in Oakland than Rowell is.
When the Warriors were playing Detroit the other night on TNT. Barkley was asked about Chris Mullin's situation and he stated that he doesn't understand what the ownership is doing. He definitely support Mullin staying with the Warriors.
If Mullin is let go it's the final straw for plenty of Warriors fans. The team has been supported through the tough times, but to go back to a struggling franchise is unspeakable. The Warriors during their playoff run and even last year kept breaking records for largest crowd to see a basketball game in California history.
Mullin has shown he deserves to be the General Manager of the Warriors. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest Warriors of all time. Too be run out of a town by a clown who has no business being a team president in the first place, Chris Cohan will finally see that this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and he won't see as many people in the stands.
So, Rowell now has a theme song. It's set to the melody of Creed's "My Own Prison" Instead of being called "My Own Prison" it's now going to be called "I've Created The Warriors Prison."
A court is in session, a verdict is in
I've screwed this team again
And it's mine and Cohan's sin
I've been the reason for the decline
of the Golden State Warriors
Since I took over back in 02
I don't feel alone
for I've got Cohan's approval
Chris Mullin has to fear for his job
Demons will be cluttering around
My face showing no emotion
Shackled by the silence that no one is
going to be at the Oracle
Here I have no apologies
For I saved Cohan money
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
because I know I've screwed the Warriors again
for selfish reasons I will be in hiding from the boos
(And I said oh) We're all held captive
by Cohan who just wants to save money
A sun won't shine on me
anytime soon
I hear the boos reign down
still I see my vision along with Cohan's
I feel no pain for the Warriors fans
On those sad days that we gave Richardson and Davis away
The crowd roars in the arena not knowing what's going on
Only I hold the key
the only way to free me is to fire me and it won't happen as long as Cohan is in charge
I'll be here until Cohan is gone
Should have never been given this job
For I do not know what to do except for what Cohan advises me to
Ain't got no time to care because We've got the dough
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
because I know I've screwed the Warriors again
for selfish reasons I will be in hiding from the boos
(And I said oh) We're all held captive
by Cohan who just wants to save money
A sun won't shine on me
anytime soon
I hear the boos reign down
I cry out to Cohan
Seeking only his decision
Cohan stands and confirms
I've created the Warriors prison
I cry out to Cohan
Seeking only his decision
Cohan stands and confirms
I've created the Warriors prison
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
because I know I've screwed the Warriors again
for selfish reasons I will be in hiding from the boos
(And I said oh) We're all held captive
by Cohan who just wants to save money
A sun won't shine on me
anytime soon
I hear the boos reign down
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
because I know I've screwed the Warriors again
for selfish reasons I will be in hiding from the boos
(And I said oh) We're all held captive
by Cohan who just wants to save money
A sun won't shine on me
anytime soon
I hear the boos reign down
Should've never been givien this job
only Warriors fans can bang their heads in disgust
got no time to mourn the I've got money to spend
Ain't got no time to care about the Warriors.
