Fantasy Football Rankings Week 2: Team Defense

Ryan LesterSep 16, 2011

Here’s a look at LestersLegends’ Week 2 2011 fantasy football team defense rankings.

1.  Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks:  After getting punished by the Ravens, the Steelers will be a force to be reckoned with at home against the Seahawks.

2.  Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers:  Cam Newton won’t have the luxury of throwing for 400-plus yards again with Clay Matthews breathing down his neck.

3.  Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans:  The Ravens were certainly dialed in against Pittsburgh last week. It’s hard to be confident in the Titans this week, even if they are playing at home.

4.  New York Jets vs. Jacksonville Jaguars:  The Jets bent but didn’t break against the Cowboys last week. The should be menacing against the Jags.

5.  Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs:  The Chiefs got smacked in the mouth at home by the Bills. Ndamukong Suh and company will keep things uncomfortable for Kansas City.

6.  Cleveland Browns at Indianapolis Colts:  The Colts looked pathetic last week. I’m not sure they can turn things around that quickly.

7.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings:  Donovan McNabb could throw 160 more yards than last week and still not have a 200-yard game. After one week it sure looks like head coach Mike Shanahan knew what he was doing after opting for Rex Grossman over McNabb.

8.  Washington Redskins vs. Arizona Cardinals:  Skins had four sacks last week. They bring the heat against Kevin Kolb.

9.  New York Giants vs. St. Louis Rams:  Sam Bradford is hurting and the Giants will smell blood in the water.

10.  Oakland Raiders at Buffalo Bills:  The Bills are better than we thought, but the Raiders bring the heat.

11.  Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers:  The Boys will bring the heat, perhaps forcing Alex Smith into some mistakes.

12.  Philadelphia Eagles at Atlanta Falcons:  The Eagles will bring the heat. We’ll see if Matt Ryan can handle the pressure of Vick’s homecoming.

13.  Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins:  It won’t be as easy for the Texans this week, but they should still have a nice showing.

14.   New Orleans Saints vs. Chicago Bears:  Jay Cutler usually follows up a big game with a dud. If the Bears defense doesn’t keep it close, Cutler could be in trouble.

15.  Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati:  The Broncos have issues stopping the run, but the Bengals are not a good football team.
