Fantasy Football Rankings Week 2: 3 Defenses to Make Waiver-Wire Shoppers Happy
If you drafted correctly, you left defense as one of the absolute last positions you selected. Now begins the weekly conundrum of picking a mismatch off the heap of waiver-wire defenses.
There is nothing pretty about the following teams. They are like Rachel Leigh Cook in She's All That. All you need to do is have a little faith and patience. By the end of the game, the drab-looking defenses will look hot.
Your job is to play the part of Freddie Prinze and give these gals, I mean teams, a chance. They are facing dismal offenses that will, at least for one week, make them look like playoff contenders.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's not time to be picky. Your other choices are slim and none. Believe me, these teams will not only be better than nothing, they will win you Week 2 and have you clowning your buddies by Monday.
This is the time to saddle up, take some antacids and take a chance. You will be better fantasy owners for this.
Browns: 15 Percent Owned, at Colts
Kerry Collins can't command the Colts offense—at least not yet. Indianapolis looked dreadful on offense and will look so again this week.
Sure, the Browns let the Bengals run circles on them, but they did one thing well: breach the line. Collins won't be able to handle the Browns' constant pressure, leaving him to make a myriad of mistakes.
Texans: 35 Percent Owned, at Dolphins
This one should be a lock. The Patriots secondary was disinterested in stopping Chad Henne, and the Texans employ some fine linebackers to stop the run.
The Texans looked marvelous against the Colts, confounding the line and making their presence known. The Dolphins will be on the losing side once again this week.
Broncos: 10 Percent Owned, vs. Bengals
The Broncos will give their underrated run defense another shot. The Bengals are without pivotal weapons on the wings, demanding them to run once again.
Denver may have lost to the Raiders, but Oakland's offense is far superior to anything the Bengals will employ. I fully expect them to limit the yardage to less than the 289 yards they gave up to the Raiders.
