NFL Predictions Week 2: 5 Things to Watch for During Week 2 in the NFL

Gabe ZaldivarJun 7, 2018

Upsets, blowouts and celebrations, oh my. With so many ridiculous matchups, you don't want to sit down on Sunday unprepared. Let us tell you the five crucial things you need to look for during Week 2 in the NFL

I was completely caught off guard during Week 1, floored by rookies Randall Cobb and Cam Newton. Who would have thought this NFL game everyone is so keen on was so damn easy?

Well, you can bet that last week's heroics will lead to this week's doldrums. There is no way that the kids come in and continue to kick around the old guys for the rest of the season.

That is just one thing on my radar as I search for my Kiss the Cook BBQ Apron. Yes, it is always good to be prepared, which is why I give you the things to look for on Sunday and Monday.

1. Which Team Wants it

This is the time of year when players are juiced up and ready to go. Energy is at an all-time high, making a game like Bears at Saints such a delight.

The Bears are once again underrated and the Saints are enjoying one of the toughest starts to a season by any team. They had the Packers, now get the Bears. Someone at scheduling really has it in for the Saints.

It will be interesting to see which team wants it more on Sunday.

2. Encore

Compared to the Steelers, the Ravens have a cakewalk in the form of the Titans. Let's see if their win in Week 1 was all emotion.

They should mop the floor with the Titans if they are truly committed to winning a Super Bowl. Now is not the time to take games off.

3. Someone Get Kerry Collins a Walker

The Colts are not going to make it to the playoffs. At  least not playing like they did last week, they won't.

Kerry Collins is an aged work in progress. The old man is going to take some time to get used to the offense. Let's see if he grasped a little more since last week.

4. Are Matt Ryan and the Falcons This bad?

This is the first question you should ponder as you sit down to watch Sunday night's game. The Bears bullied Ryan and the Falcons all day last week.

The Eagles will not be any nicer to them. If Ryan is going to be that Matty Ice guy again, now would be a good time to start.

5. Which is the Deeper Team

The Rams and Giants have spent more time visiting the team doctor than celebrating lately. This game is more of a push if the Rams starters were healthy.

We are about to see if St. Louis can survive without Danny Amendola or a questionable Steven Jackson.
