NFL Week 12 Review: New York Jets Are Flying High!
Brett Favre and his high-flying New York Jets handed the undefeated Tennessee Titans their first loss of the season, winning 34-13. This keeps them in first place in the AFC East with an 8-3 record. The Titans fall to 10-1 and will play Detroit on Thanksgiving Day in Detroit.
Meanwhile, in a key matchup in that same AFC East division, New England beat Miami on the road, avenging their previous loss to Miami. New England won with a huge game by Matt Cassel, 48-28.
I am glad the Dophins will slip back and hopefully not make the playoffs, due to Joey Porters inability to behave like a human being! This team will never amount to much while employing vile people like Porter. Please crawl back under that rock you came from Joey!
Ok , I'm done! Back to the NFL review.
Baltimore dashed Philadelphia's playoff hopes with a demonstrative win 36-7. The Ravens are playing better and better, and I imagine we might see them as a wild card in the playoffs.
The Washington Redskins kept their own playoff hopes alive, escaping the Seahawks 20-17 in Seattle.
Dallas also kept their wild card hopes alive with a good win over San Francisco, 35-22. Terrell Owens had a huge game and Dallas moves closer to a possible playoff berth.
Detroit jumped out to a 17-0 lead over Tampa Bay, but Jeff Garcia had a lot of answers as the running game held up and the Bucs went on to win 38-20.
Whats wrong with Denver? A horrible Raider team came into their house and robbed them of all their dignity winning 31-10. Who knew?
Atlanta kept their playoff drive alive with a big win at home over Carolina. Matt Ryan is my pick for rookie of the year, with another strong performance beating the Panthers 45-28.
Minnesota beat Jacksonville 30-12 improving to 6-5 and keeping tied with Chicago in the black and blue NFC North.
Chicago handled the Rams rather easily winning, 27-3. Green Bay will try to keep pace on Monday Night Football in New Orleans. I have a funny feeling Drew Brees might spoil Green Bay's season. Both teams really need a win in that game.
Houston beat Cleveland 16-6 in a meaningless affair in Cleveland. That was Houston 's first road win this season.
Buffalo came back strong this week 54-31 against Kansas City after losing last week at home to Cleveland.
Pittsburgh kept a one game lead in their division with a win Thursday, beating Cincinnati 27-10.
The Giants improved to 10-1 with a victory over Arizona 37-29.
San Diego has a big game against Indianapolis this evening! Don't take the home team on this one. San Diego will lose to kill their playoff hopes. Denver lost, but they still have a two-game lead. I had San Diego tonight! Wrong!
I have New Orleans in an upset on Monday Night Football.
