Tim Tebow Billboards Show Denver Broncos Nation Has Gone Insane

Don’t mess with Broncos Nation.

Fans of the Denver Broncos all across the country are fed up. They watched the Broncos sludge their way through a 23-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders that may have set the game of football back 20 years.

The fans are sick of watching QB Kyle Orton do just enough to lose a game and now they are taking action.

Jesse Oaks, a fan that lives across the country in Kentucky, has proposed a plan to erect two billboards in the Denver city limits. While the exact message of the sign is unknown, I think you can guess the topic. Oaks told the Denver Post he wants to make sure fans are getting head coach John Fox’s attention:

We believe in Coach Fox. We're just tired of Kyle Orton. We were sitting around after Fox said he didn't hear the chants for (Tim) Tebow and we figured if he's deaf, we hope he's not blind.

We're not Tebow fanatics, we think Tebow gives us the best chance to win. But if Brady Quinn or even Adam Weber (on the practice squad) can give us a chance, that's what we want

"

I don’t envy Fox’s job at all right now.

On the one hand, it’s clear through practice and the preseason that Orton is far and away the best option for the team. All of the players in the locker room know as much. Yet the entire Broncos fanbase (one of the best and most loyal in the sport) is sick of Orton’s mediocrity and wants something new.

Starting Brady Quinn isn’t the answer. He has shown in his tenure as a starting QB in the league that he’s not capable of getting a team to .500, let alone the playoffs.

That leaves one guy.

Sure most of the experts think Tebow has awful mechanics, footwork and can’t make the correct reads. But fans saw him make the furious fourth-quarter comeback against the Texans last year and see the potential. It wasn’t pretty…but he found a way. Until Tebow gets another chance to fail, fans will always remember this.

If it takes a huge billboard that costs $10,000 to remind the rest or the Broncos organization…so be it.
