Mayweather vs. Ortiz Predictions: Ortiz Will End Mayweather's Undefeated Streak

Floyd Mayweather's efforts to duck Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan to keep his undefeated record intact are going to prove to be in vain. Mayweather is going to be fed the first loss of his career when he steps into the ring with Victor Ortiz.

Mayweather said, "I believe in my skills. I believe in my talent. This fight will not go the distance."

Mayweather is right. This fight isn't going to go the distance, but unlike Mayweather's previous fights, he's going to be the one knocked out on the canvas.

He's getting older. He isn't the fighter he once was, and fighting a fighter with Ortiz' promise that's a decade younger, a 34-year-old Mayweather just might find himself outmatched.

It's been almost a year and a half since Mayweather last stepped foot in the ring. He's got a huge fight on his hands and it's doubtful that he even knows the battle he's about to see. Ortiz is still under the radar, despite being incredibly talented.

This is exactly the signature win Ortiz needs to really solidify himself as an elite pound-for-pound fighter. Mayweather has been incredible over the years, but this fight will expose his age and reveal that he is no longer invincible.

Mayweather has been criticized for ducking and dodging opponents who have the upper hand on him in the past. Once Ortiz is able to get the better of him, it's going to make a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight seem less appealing.

This is the beginning of the end for Mayweather. He's not one of those fighters who is going to be able to box into his 40s. His days of having an unblemished record will end on Saturday and his legacy as we know it will never be the same.

He may have done everything in his power to avoid suffering a loss late in his career, but assuming Ortiz will be easy prey is a recipe for disaster for Mayweather.
