Tom Brady: New England Patriots Fans Will Take QB's Comments to Heart
Tom Brady was fresh off a career best night when he made some pretty interesting comments directed towards New England Patriots fans.
Yesterday, the MVP quarterback told reporters how Patriots fans can get pumped up for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers. Per CBS News:
"'Start drinking early', Brady said. 'Get nice and rowdy. It's a 4:15 game. They have a lot of time to get lubed up and come out here and cheer for their home team.'

As if folks from the northeast needed another excuse to get hammered, Brady makes it clear he wants his fans loud.
Brady has done a lot for this franchise, and the fans love him for it. They're going to take his words to heart, and do as he says.
Of course, with safety being a big issue in the NFL theses days, the Patriots PR department was quick to release a statement from Brady clarifying what he meant by "start drinking early."
"Stay hydrated, Brady said through a team spokesman. Drink a lot of water, be loud, drink responsibly. (CBS News)
"
It was a smart move by the Patriots' organization, but let's not kid ourselves here, we all know what he was talking about.
Brady asked for the fans to be rowdy, and they're going to be. He later told reporters that he and his team have to give them something to cheer about, but we all know they're very capable of doing that.
Did you see the game against the Dolphins? The Patriots are very fun to watch, and their fans shouldn't have any problems making noise on Sunday, especially since Brady is requesting it.
The real reason Brady made this comment has to be because he wanted the media to talk about this all week instead of his 517 passing yards.
Had Brady not said this, the only Patriots related thing everyone would talk about (other than Chad Ochocinco) is how good Brady is, how he's a lock for the MVP again and that's something Brady doesn't want to hear all week.
All that does is build pressure and make it harder on Brady against a very tough opponent. The Patriots are masterminds at manipulating the media, and I believe that's what Brady is doing here. It's a little something he picked up from Bill Belichick.
However, telling the fans to drink early and get rowdy might have been too much. Patriots fans are hardcore fans, and they're going to listen to their star quarterback when he calls them out.
If the Chargers vs. Patriots wasn't a must see game beforehand, it certainly is now. There's some great matchups and story lines with the players, but now there's an even better one for the fans.
