Patriots-Dolphins: New England Humilliates Miami, 48-28
It appears that the winning streak of luck of the Miami Dolphins has come to an end. The New England Patriots played against the Miami Dolphins at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Florida. It appears that the Patriots avenged their defeat in the beginning of the 2008 NFL Season.
THE FIRST QUARTER
The Fins started the game without incident until Gostkowski scored a 30-yard field goal for the Patriots within the first quarter. The Dolphins scrambled to regain loss ground with the exception that Pennington made an incomplete pass. Bell [Miami Dolphins] received a personal foul for offsetting.

Chad Pennington did a short middle pass to Camarillo for a three yard Fin touchdown followed by an extra point by Carpenter. The first quarter ended, 3-7 Miami. It was the beginning of things to come.
THE SECOND QUARTER
The second quarter was started by Cassel and Gostowski of New England with a touchdown and an extra point. The lead for the Patriots was widened with New England 10-7 Miami. New England started to make mistakes with Cassell throwing incomplete passes.
Miami was unable to take advantage of the Patriots mistakes even though the team of Pennington and Carpenter were able to score a touchdown and field goal.
New England 10-14 Miami was the score until Cassel passed a short right to Moss at 25 yards for a touchdown for the Patriots. The extra point by Gostowski was good and the score was New England 17, Miami 14.
THE THIRD QUARTER
The Dolphins attempted a comeback with Pennington passing a short right to Cramer for a touchdown. The extra point by Carpenter gave them a Pyrrhic victory of New England 17-21 Miami. The Dolphins were not to enjoy the victory for long.
Cassel and Moss scored another touchdown with an extra point by Gostowski to give New England a three-point lead. It was New England 24, Miami 21, and the humiliation was about to start.
Faulk was able to score another touchdown followed by a Gostowski extra point which increased the lead for the Patriots. The score was New England 31-21 Miami.
THE FOURTH QUARTER
Pennington scored another touchdown, with the score New England 31-28 Miami. But Cassel scored a touchdown followed by another Gostowski extra point which changed the score to New England 38-28 Miami. Goodman [Miami Dolphins] received a penalty for an interference in the defensive pass which was declined.
The Miami Dolphins received humiliation after humiliation with Crowder and Channing being disqualified for offsetting. A field goal by Gostowski gave the Patriots a 41-28 lead over the Dolphins. The field goal celebrations were offset by the disqualification of Light and Matt for offsetting. Matt eventually was expelled.
The final nail in the coffin was a one yard touchdown by Green-Ellis and an extra point by Gostowksi to finalize the score New England 48-28 Miami. At the present time, the Miami Dolphins have six games that were won and five that were lost in the 2008 NFL season.
REFLECTION
It appears that the New England Patriots learned a valuable lesson from their previous defeat. The team of Cassel and Gostowski was a powerhouse when it came to yards, touchdowns, free kicks, and field goals. Cassel threw more than 400 yards in back to back games and deserves to be congratulated.
The Miami Dolphins have to win at least three more games if they want to be considered as play off material. It appears that the Fins have lost it for the time being although the present season is better than the 2007 season. It remains to be seen whether the Miami Dolphins can regain their game formation for the rest of the NFL season.
