Denver Broncos: Should John Fox Listen to Fan Billboard, Screams for Tim Tebow?
This is just getting ridiculous. Denver Broncos fans, desperate for new head coach John Fox to use second-year quarterback Tim Tebow, are planning to put up billboards to beg for just that.
Really?
I know that a lot of Broncos fans like Tebow—heck, he's a likable guy—but this obsession with him has gone a little too far.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Tebow had a chance to win the starting job during training camp and in the preseason. He was beaten soundly in that competition.
Kyle Orton is Denver's starting quarterback and no amount of chanting or protest is going to change that. Orton may not be perfect, but he is currently the best Denver has at the position.
The Broncos lost their opener 23-20 to the Oakland Raiders. That's not exactly a blowout, and while Orton wasn't fantastic, it wasn't his fault that the team lost.
Denver gave up 190 yards on the ground, only managed to rush for 38 yards as a team and allowed Orton to be sacked on five occasions and knocked down on six. If you want reasons for the loss, they're right there.
I like Tebow, he's a great kid and a wonderful role model. That doesn't mean he's ready to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
While I do think the Broncos should create some packages to get him in and take advantage of some of the unique talents he possesses, he is certainly not ready to be the starter.
Fox is an old-school coach—putting up billboards and chanting for a different quarterback is unlikely to move him. Results on the field and in practice would be the way to change his mind, and that is where Tebow needs to make his mark.
If Tebow proves his worth to the team and shows improvement in practice, Fox won't be able to keep him off the field.
It's on him to earn a chance to play, not the fans.
