Arsenal Vs Manchester City: Player Ratings

Manuel Almunia: 6: Was given the captaincy and did a solid job as the team leader; making a few good saves.

Gavin Hoyte: 4.5: Was put in due to the right back injury crisis and had an awful time trying to contain Robinho. No surprise to see the youngster taken off.

Johan Djourou: 7: Saved a certain goal and was probably the best Arsenal player.

Mikeal Silvestre: 6: A blunder and miss communication with Gael Clichy cost a goal but was solid at times.

Gael Clichy: 6: Was given the vice captaincy and worked well down the left with Nasri at times.

Abou Diaby: 5: Refused to pass the ball but did look a tad dangerous at times.

Denilson: 4: An awful performance and missed a heap of tackles and many passes were astray.

Alexandre Song: 4: Was terrible in the midfield but looked better when put in the defence.

Samir Nasri: 6: Was explosive in the opening minutes but didn't really spark much else.

Robin van Perise: 6: Didn't see enough ball but did look dangerous at times.

Nicklas Bendter: 5: Was clumsy again and missed a few of the little chances Arsenal had. Vela should have started.

Aaron Ramsey: 6: Came on and almost set up a goal. Should have started the game.

Carlos Vela: 5.5: Was brought on too late but did try to break open the defence.
