NFL Picks Week 2: Patriots and 3 Favorites That Will Stay Undefeated
There were some surprises in Week 1, but we're not focusing on them here. Instead, we're focusing on the teams that were expected to win and did just that.
Of those teams, who is likely to keep that momentum going?

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New England Patriots (-7) vs. San Diego Chargers
The Chargers got off to a good start this year, which bucks their normal trends. It was hardly a dominant performance, but they did manage to beat the Vikings in the opener. In the end, nothing else matters.
But the Patriots and Tom Brady were beyond dominant in their opener.
Brady has more weapons at his disposal than any quarterback in the league. What's even scarier is that Chad Ochocinco has not yet gotten used to the offense. Once he does, this offense will get even better.
Brady won't repeat his opening week performance against San Diego, but their corner backs are somewhat vulnerable to giving up the big play. New England will convert a few of those and win this one convincingly.
Prediction: Patriots-34, Chargers-21
Green Bay Packers (-9.5) at Carolina Panthers
Actually, I think the Panthers will show up to play in this one. While Cam Newton may not equal his Week 1 heights, he should still have another big game.
There is just one problem.
How is anyone going to stop Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense?
Take your time figuring this one out. The Packers were a well oiled machine in Week 1 and I just don't see any way that that will change in Week 2. The Panthers will make some plays, but nowhere near as many as the Packers.
This one will be close for a while, but the Packers will win and cover relatively easily when it's all said and done.
Prediction: Packers-45, Panthers-24
New York Jets (-9.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
This is a tricky game. In the other two, I had the winning team covering relatively easily. I'll go with the Jets to win here. Actually, I'll even go for them to cover. But it won't be easy.
The Jets offense is not one that scores a lot of points. To guarantee a 10-point win, you need a smothering defense and an offense that can score some points.
Mark Sanchez will guide the offense well and Plaxico Burress will certainly be back as a play maker. Darrelle Revis and the Jets' defense will really keep the Jaguars off of the board.
Prediction: Jets-23, Jaguars-10
