Browns vs. Colts: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Alex KayJun 4, 2018

The Cleveland Browns will be taking their “talents” up against the Peyton Manning-less Indianapolis Colts this weekend in a matchup that looked much more exciting in the preseason.

Indianapolis is just terrible without Manning. He is the key to their offense and a future first-ballot Hall of Famer. Without one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever put on the pads, the team looked atrocious in a blowout versus the Houston Texans.

The Browns looked even worse and more ill-prepared than the Colts did last week. They lost to the lowly Cincinnati Bengals as a huge favorite and could not stop Andy Dalton or Bruce Gradowski.

This is going to be a rather mundane game to watch, and it looks like neither team has much to play for already in just Week 2 of the NFL season.

Where: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana.

When: 1:00 P.M. EST

Watch: CBS

Live Streaming Audio: NFL.com Audio Pass ($29.99 for year, $27.99 team specific, $9.99 a month)

Listen: Cleveland—Sirius XM 106, WMMS 100.7 Indianapolis—Sirius XM 92, ESPN 1070

Betting Line: Browns (-2.5) Over/Under 38

What's at Stake?

Draft Status: Both of these teams are not in contention for their respective divisions. The Colts are going to have a high draft pick for the first time in many years if they keep playing so poorly without Peyton Manning.

CBS is reporting that the team was scouting Andrew Luck as an eventual replacement for Manning if they have a shot at getting him.

The Browns are still not ready to contend in the AFC North with the Ravens looking excellent and the Steelers still very much so a contender. They were a possible preseason Wildcard contender, but their loss to the Bengals proved they aren’t ready yet.

Browns Injury Report

RT Tony Pashos—OUT (ankle): Pashos did not play in Week 1 and is not looking ready to go against the Colts. He is the Browns' starting RT and Peyton Hillis struggled to run the ball last week without him.

Colts Injury Report

LB Gary Brackett—OUT (shoulder): The Colts’ oft-injured MLB is unsurprisingly banged up once again. He is not sure if he will play or not on Sunday, but look for him to miss some time.

QB Peyton Manning—OUT (neck): Obviously, this is the biggest injury of the NFL season. It is completely destroying the 2011 Colts’ season.

Fantasy: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper

Start 'Em: Reggie Wayne.

Wayne is going to be one of the only consistent players in this Colts’ offense this season. He was able to grab the only TD the team scored last week and had over 100 yards on seven catches.

Sit 'Em: Any other Colts’ receiver.

They are simply too inconsistent, injured and ineffective without Peyton Manning.

Sleeper: Ben Watson.

This is Colt McCoy’s favorite target, and he was able to grab a touchdown last week. He should be able to exploit a weak Colts’ defense this week as the team tries to avenge their loss to the Bengals.

What They're Saying

Mary Kay Cabot at the Cleveland Plain Dealer notes that the A.J. Green TD play that Browns’ coach Pat Shurmur thought was illegal from the Bengals was perfectly fine according to NFL sources.

“It's just a situation where they caught us off guard," said Browns linebacker Scott Fujita. "It's a disappointing play. They caught the whole organization asleep on that one. Hats off to them, they snuck one by us and it's a shame that it came down to that."

Mike Chappell at the Indianapolis Star says that the Colts’ players aren’t worried about their disappointing loss to the Texans.

"This time last year," Wayne said in the aftermath of a 34-7 beat down Sunday at Houston, "we were in the same position. It's a long season. There's no time to hang your head.

Browns Player to Watch: Peyton Hillis

The Colts gave up a ton of yards on the ground to Ben Tate and Derrick Ward in the first game, and Hillis should be able to steamroll over their leaky defense.

If Hillis can’t muster up a big game against this defense, we may be seeing more Montario Hardesty.

Colts Player to Watch: Kerry Collins

Collins is going to be the replacement QB in Indianapolis for at least a few more weeks at the minimum. If he can’t step his play up and get this high-powered offense on the board more often, Curtis Painter could soon replace him. Not good news for Collins or the Colts’ fans.

Key Matchup: Browns Offense vs. Colts Defense.

The Browns should be able to destroy weak Colts’ defense on the ground and let Colt McCoy pick his spots to throw. I predict that it will be ugly on both sides of the ball, but the Colts’ defense will surrender the most amount of points.

Prediction: Browns over Colts, 24-21
