Quarterbacks have always been the rock stars of the NFL. They get to call the tune, they get the money, they get the fast cars, they get the girls. The halftime show at the Super Bowl even tends towards rock nowadays.

But what if some of today's quarterbacks had actually been rock stars? Who, of the musicians around today, would they have been?

An unregarded backup man who suddenly stepped forward and became a star almost overnight, Brady remains at the top of his game today. Who else could he be but...Dave Grohl?

Tony Romo

Occasionally brilliant, occasionally dreadful, he can make you weep no matter which he does. Has done all of the right 'celebrity' moves—dating famous girls, trying and failing to do things other than that which he is known for. Romo could only be...Chris Martin from Coldplay.

Peyton Manning

It doesn't matter what he says or what he does, you're not allowed to dislike Peyton. You can't, because you don't get a chance to—the man's best days are behind him, he's slightly trading off past glories and he never says anything remotely interesting. He could only be...Jon Bon Jovi.

Brett Favre

Even when he says he's walking away, you can't believe him. You just know that he'll be back in some capacity, one way or another. And when he does return, he won't be quite as good as he was when he went away, but it will still be good enough for his biggest fans. Which makes Favre...Bruce Springsteen.

Donovan McNabb

He's been around for a long time now. He keeps going and keeps playing in places he's never played before, but he's lost that vital spark—the thing that once made him so dangerous. Frankly, it is all becoming a little embarrassing now. Who could he be but...Mick Jagger?
