NFL Power Rankings Week 2: Are Baltimore Ravens NFL's Best Team?
The Baltimore Ravens secured an impressive Week 1 win over division rivals and reigning AFC Champions Pittsburgh Steelers, defeating the squad 35-7.
This win alone is not enough for the Ravens to unseat the top seat on the power rankings, the Green Bay Packers. But it was enough for me to raise them to sixth in the NFL going into Week 2—up from ninth the previous week.
While the Ravens had a major win to be sure, the fact that the Steelers played uncharacteristically poorly augments the Ravens' progress up the power rankings. With another decisive win this week, over the Tennessee Titans, their stock will continue to rise.

However, it will take a lot for the Ravens to unseat the top three in the rankings any time soon.
The list is topped by the Packers, followed by the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. Rounding out the top five are the New Orleans Saints, who lost to the Packers in Week 1 but still managed to impress, and the New York Jets.
The Ravens are certainly one of the best teams in the league, and if they continue on the path they forged against the Steelers in Week 1, they should have no trouble rising in the rankings as the season progresses.
But, for now, they still have more to prove if they want to unseat the five teams above them and take the title of the toughest to beat in the NFL.
