PW Top 25: Only The Strong Survives

Ron JohnsonNov 22, 2008

This is the final installment heading into tomorrow night's Survivor Series. And there are three special additions to this week's Top 25. And of course there will be someone who won't like the additions, but who cares?

Here's this week's Pro Wrestling Top 25.

#1) Eddie Guerrero (WWE Legends)

TOP NEWS

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW

Latino Heat is still missed by every single wrestling fan around the world. But WWE just released a DVD that honors the late Hall of Famer in some of his best moments in wrestling history. Viva La Raza, Eddie!

#2) Jeff Hardy (SmackDown!)

The Charismatic Enigma continued his winning ways with his new extreme behavior. After defeating The Undertaker last week, he went on to defeat Triple H to earn a spot in the WWE Championship Match at Survivor Series.

#3) The Undertaker (SmackDown!)

The Phenom didn't have any competition this week, but he did give Big Show his Last Rites...and he even stuffed both Vickie and Chavo in a Casket. But can he stuff the World's Largest Athlete in one this Sunday?

#4) Randy Orton (RAW)

The Legend Killer managed to stop the momentum of CM Punk this past Monday. But he couldn't stop the momentum of Batista's Spear at the end of the broadcast. Can the Legend Killer tame the Animal in their Survivor Series Elimination Match on Sunday?

#5) Rhino (TNA)

Rhino showed where his allegiance stood this past Thursday as he recovered from the beatdown from the Mafia to rally the Young Lions in the locker room and got a measure of revenge by delivering a GORE! to an unsuspecting Kurt Angle.

#6) Matt Hardy (ECW Champion, ECW)

The ECW Champion had a busy week as he won on Monday night, then lost on Tuesday night in a six man tag, then comes back and teams with R-Truth to defeat Mark Henry and Shelton Benjamin en route to Survivor Series and Team Batista.

#7) Main Event Mafia (TNA)

The Mafia gave Christian Cage his last rites, pummeled Rhino, defeated Eric Young and The Monstrous Blueprint, found out the double main event for Final Resolution and in the end, got set up by Jeff Jarrett, Mick Foley and the very same pummeled Rhino.

#8) The RAW Divas (RAW)

For the first time, the Divas of RAW showed serious unity heading into Survivor Series. Following Victoria's blind attack on Kelly Kelly, all the Divas involved in this Sunday's Elimination Match came down and dropped Victoria in the center of the ring.

#9) The Bella Twins (SmackDown!)

One Bella was great to watch every Friday night. When we found out about the second Bella, every man in America rejoiced. Last night, the Twins pulled a fast one on Victoria and Natalya to get the victory.

#10) WWE Universe/TNA FanNation

The fans wanted some things to change on all four brands. On RAW, Stephanie let the inmates run the asylum so to speak at the end. On TNA, the Mafia showed some vulnerability. And on SmackDown!, all bets are officially off for this Sunday.

#11) Mark Henry (ECW)

The World's Strongest Man proved that he can be just as dangerous without the ECW Championship. He decimated Kofi Kingston on ECW, but thanks to Shelton Benjamin's stupidity, he lost one on SmackDown! to the current ECW Champion.

#12) Gregory Helms (SmackDown!)

Even when he's not wrestling, he's still as entertaining. Many people have been looking forward to Helms' return to the ring. But until then, he's been a big key in SmackDown!'s current success. I'm just saying.

#13) R-Truth (SmackDown!)

The Truth bounced back on SmackDown! by snapping his losing streak against Shelton Benjamin this past Friday. But now he will have enough strength on his side this Sunday to cause more than one upset.

#14) Batista (RAW)

The Animal took out Manu with a vicious Batista Bomb this past Monday. Then all of a sudden, he took out Randy Orton at the end of the broadcast, prompting an all out Royal Rumble style brawl. Now he has to lead his team into Survivor Series to face Orton's squad.

#15) JBL & Kane (RAW)

The Longhorn Loudmouth used his scheming ways to pick up the win this past Monday at Kane's expense. But he won't be able to do that when Cryme Tyme teams with HBK, Great Khali and Rey Mysterio this Sunday in their Survivor Series match.

#16) Triple H (WWE Champion, SmackDown!)

The WWE Champion will have a huge fight on his hands when he locks horns with not only Vladimir Kozlov but also Jeff Hardy after Hardy's shocking win last night on SmackDown! Can The King of Kings be the best again?

#17) William Regal (Intercontinental Champion, RAW)

The IC Champion helped Orton defeat Punk on RAW and then did his part to help Mark Henry defeat Kofi Kingston. But will Regal do enough this Sunday...especially with a pissed off Italian on his tail for the Intercontinental Championship.

#18) The Kings Of Punk (World Tag Team Champions, RAW)

The champs had a bad week, suffering two consecutive losses this week. But they will need to unite to help Team Batista defeat Team Orton this Sunday at Survivor Series.

#19) Shawn Michaels (RAW)

The Heartbreak Kid got a taste of his own medicine this past Monday when he got dropped with his own finisher by John Morrison. But will this be the case this Sunday in their Survivor Series Elimination match?

#20) Rey Mysterio (RAW)

The Maestro of 619 did his part to get the win, but not even he saw John Morrison deliver the kick that gave The Dirt Sheet the win this past Monday. But he will get his chance at redemption this Sunday for Team HBK.

#21) Tommy Dreamer (ECW)

Nothing is better for Dreamer than pulling a fast one on the young ones who think they're better. He threw the Amateur Wrestling Challenge against Jack Swagger, but he gets Swagger again...in an Extreme Rules Match this Tuesday.

#22) The Dirt Sheet (ECW)

The Dirt Sheet's biggest win came against Shawn Michaels and Rey Mysterio this past Monday. So how do they top that? By defeating Jesse and Festus? One word can describe these two guys: Booooooorrrrrrrrriiiiiiiinnnng!

#23) Cryme Tyme (RAW)

Sunday is their chance to get back in the tag title hunt. Score at least a pinfall against someone from Team JBL, and not only will they get the victory they need, they will also silence at least one Longhorn this weekend.

#24) DJ Gabriel & Alicia Fox (ECW)

DJ Gabriel won his debut, but all eyes weren't completely on this high octane dancer. Most eyes were on the woman that came down with him: Former Wedding planner and the reason for Vickie's misery, Alicia Fox. I wonder if Vickie and Alicia will cross paths tomorrow night at Survivor Series?

#25) The Young Lions (TNA)

The Lions came up short once again, and even got decimated by TNA's version of the nWo. But Rhino did everything in his power to rally the troops. The question is can they get back on the winning track next week? Or is it too little too late for the Young Lions?
