NFL Picks Week 2: Expect Perfect Weekend For AFC North

Eric BallJun 7, 2018

The AFC North is better than you think.

Everyone knows about the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens…but even the two Ohio teams are going to exceed expectations.

Week 2 features incredibly favorable matchups for the entire division and you can expect a clean sweep.

Baltimore @ Tennessee

It’s pretty simple…if the Titans can’t beat a team that is led by QB Luke McCown, they don’t have a shot against a team as balanced as the Ravens.

Look up-and-down the Ravens roster and they don’t have a single weakness right now.

This will be a blowout.

Cleveland @ Indianapolis

How quickly things change.

After watching the Colts operate without Peyton Manning…it’s hard to picture them winning two games. The Browns are a below-average team in almost every aspect—which should be more than enough to beat the shell-shocked Colts.

At this point: Colt McCoy>>>>>>Kerry Collins.

Seattle @ Pittsburgh

Let’s see…angry Steelers team playing a terrible QB whose team has to make a cross-country flight and play a game at 10 AM pacific time.

I’m pretty sure Vegas can’t make this line high enough. Tavaris Jackson looked horrible against a decent 49ers defense and they didn’t even bring the pressure very often. The Steelers are going to make life very difficult for Jackson and will force him into costly turnovers.

This may be the first Charlie Whitehurst sighting of season before the final whistle blows.

Cincinnati @ Denver

The Bengals shocked everyone with their incredible poise and perseverance in Week 1. QB Andy Dalton looks like the real deal and now it’s only a matter of building on the positive momentum.

The Broncos are coming of a short week where they looked incredibly sloppy in a loss to the Raiders. Turnovers, and penalties were prevalent and they looked like a team that is extremely undisciplined.

There is one rather large elephant in the room: the Bengals haven’t won in Denver since 1975. It’s an absurd stat that gives you a pretty solid idea of just how bad the Bengals have been over the years.

Yet they haven’t played in Denver for four years and have a completely new team. Sure the history is ugly, but it isn’t relevant to the player’s in the game.

I expect Dalton and AJ Green to hookup early and often and the defense holds the abysmal Broncos running game in check.
