Hope Solo's Boyfriend Galaviz Needs To Avoid Embarrassment in Hope's Spotlight

Hope Solo has turned her 2011 World Cup success into stardom in the world of pop culture. If she plays her cards right, she could turn this stardom into more than just 15 minutes, and more into a career—see Mia Hamm.

Now boyfriend Adrian Galaviz needs to let her.

This is, of course, assuming the two are still together. There were reports saying otherwise via PlayerWives.Com:

The two were dating in 2007, but by 2010, Hope was more than happy to announce that she was single.

"

These reports were neither confirmed nor denied in an official capacity by the couple. However, Tyler Ancira—who claimed to be Galaviz's cousin—contacted Bleacher Report's Matt Faulconer on July 10 with this Twitter post:

"Well hes my cuz, she was at his fathers funeral recently, they r very much together, hes in germany with her now."

Galaviz, a Seattle party promoter, has a history of working himself into the spotlight (see attached video). Let's just say he comes off as less than authentic (check out this video). His over-the-top cheerleading is easily construed as part of his promotional side.

I have no idea if it is authentic or not, but I do know that it doesn't seem that way.

So, now that the spotlight is on Hope Solo more than ever, he will be best served to sit back and stay out of it. That would be a much better choice than showing up at Dancing with the Stars shirtless and wearing an American flag as a skirt.

To his credit, if the couple are still together, he has been content to stay out of the spotlight. Now, let's see if he can continue to resist the temptation.
