Portland Blazers Game 13: Brad Miller is a Barbarian Who Lives in a CAVE...
The only bad thing I can, and ever will, say about the Sacramento Kings is that Brad Miller is a barbarian who lives in a cave. When the rest of his team gets in their hummers and drive to their mansions, he hops on a four legged walrus, grabs his mighty club, and heads for the mountains.
Other then that...I like the Kings.
Like the rest of America, I fell in love with their team with Webber, Bibby, Stojakovic, Christie, and Bobby Jackson. That team was all heart, with talent to boot. Their 2002 BATTLE with the Lakers made me cry, because I knew the league was screwing over a small market franchise who deserved the title.
Screwing them over for LA, too.
Their battles with Dallas, Utah, and even San Antonio were always worth tuning into.
Truth is, it was not their loss to LA that cost them the title, it was Webber being injured in the playoffs the next season. I can still see him going down...man, what a bummer.
That Kings team reminded me so much of the Blazers of the early 1990s, with their adoring fans and small arena...I just hate to see them suffer so.
They need a HUG.
BUT, Portland Trail Blazers are BALLIN' yo.
I watched this game at work, but what I saw was a team that no longer is afraid on the road.
We're coming up like the Kings of the early 2000's, and quite frankly, we're DAZZLING to watch. With our height we can get more rebounds, with our young legs we can out-hustle, and our bench can outscore, any other team in the league!
As Bill and Ted said in their great adventure and bogus journey..."Whoa..."
KUDOS to Portland Fans for making our arena so explosive, that it is difficult for the crowd in other arenas to rattle our team. KUDOS to Nate MacMillan, truly the Obi Wan Kanobi of our franchise, KUDOS to Brandon Roy, our Luke Skywalker, KUDOS to Rudy Fernandez, our Han Solo, and KUDOS to Greg Oden...our Chewbacca!
Who is Aldridge? Why, he must be our Lando. Who else?
He played well tonight, and we just blew out two teams.
The Blazers knew this was an important game, because Greg Oden faces Shaq tomorrow...and I CANNOT WAIT!
Can you?
