Tony Romo: Loss to Jets Proves Dallas Cowboys QB Is NFL's LeBron James

Jun 7, 2018

The Dallas Cowboys lost a heartbreaker Sunday night against the New York Jets, and the loss is 100 percent Tony Romo’s fault.

At some point, Jerry Jones needs to cut the umbilical cord and let the overrated quarterback suck somewhere else.

While the 352 passing yards and two touchdowns give the perception that Romo had a solid game, it was the interception and fumble he gave up that proves he is more like LeBron James than Joe Montana.

After 10 seconds passed in the fourth quarter, the Dallas Cowboys had a 24-10 lead, and all was happy in the Cowboys’ minds. That was until the ball inevitably got back into the hands of the most overrated quarterback in NFL history.

Romo actually looked like a viable NFL quarterback in the first 45 minutes, but when the fourth quarter hit, Romo was transformed into the brick-throwing choke artist LeBron James and cost the Cowboys the game.

Jerry Jones was smiling at the beginning of the fourth, but that smile quickly turned upside down.

It was during the fourth quarter that the Dallas Cowboys held the Jets to a three and out and handed the ball to Romo to kill some clock. He marched down the field, 77 yards on six plays, but fumbled the ball in the red zone, causing the Cowboys to lose their chance at three more insurance points.

After fumbling away the Cowboys chance to put the Jets away, the mediocre quarterback had his next two drives stall before throwing a ridiculous interception to seal his team’s losing fate.

Romo has the chance to prove his merit in clutch opportunities, but continuously chokes away leads or just comes up as small as you could on a big stage.

The similarities to LeBron are ridiculous, and both men are the most overrated athletes in their sports.

Dallas needs to start looking forward, and Tony Romo should not be in their future plans if they ever want to hoist another Super Bowl trophy and banner.
