Arian Foster Injury Update: Will Foster Be Ready for Week 2?
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster missed his team’s Week 1 encounter with the Indianapolis Colts due to a lingering hamstring injury.
The question to be determined right now is whether or not the NFL’s 2010 rushing leader will be available for Week 2.
Due to the risk of a hamstring injury having a lingering impact if not given the proper time to heal, the situation will be dealt with delicately. Don’t anticipate the Texan’s to rush Foster into making a premature return.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With that said, in the event that Foster does not play in Week 2 at Miami, running backs Derrick Ward and Ben Tate will probably split the carries.
The two have already been handling the responsibility of filling Foster’s big shoes in his absence and so far don’t seem to have missed a step. Between both Ward and Tate's tough running and Houston’s offensive line doing a great job, the Texans have managed to keep their running game active despite missing their star back.
During the Texans' 34-7 win over the Colts on Sunday, both Ward and Tate received carries. However, after Ward exited the game in the second quarter with a minor ankle injury, Tate was left to handle the job on his own.
Having missed all of his rookie season last year due to injury, Tate was impressive in what was his official NFL debut. Carrying for 116 yards and one touchdown, Tate proved he is worthy of at least a few carries.
Originally missing a large part of training camp with a hamstring strain, Foster returned to the Texans lineup during their preseason games and aggravated the injury. Since then, Foster has been rehabbing the injury with still no timetable for his return.
A fan and fantasy favorite, Foster's return is anxiously awaited.
