A Premier League footballer who allegedly tested positive for cocaine will be named in a UK television documentary, set to be aired tonight.

Reports this morning confirm Channel 4's investigative reporting series Dispatches will reveal the identity of the player. It is claimed that he was sold in a multi-million pound deal to a club who had no idea he had tested positive for the drug.

According to reports, the documentary researchers uncovered "dozens" of positive tests, all of which have been kept secret by the English Football Association (FA).

There is also the revelation that 240 tests had to be abandoned between 2007 and 2010 because the players were not available at their training grounds.

We'll bring you more as soon as the show airs later this evening UK time.
