Mike Tolbert Injury: Update on Chargers Star's Leg Injury
Mike Tolbert has emerged as one of Week 1's top performers at the running back position, and late in the game against the Minnesota Vikings, it ended on a sour note.
Tolbert suffered a leg injury and came hobbling off as the Chargers held off a comeback attempt from the Vikings.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Once the injury happened, the running back came limping off the field and found his way to the trainer's table where he was surrounded by medical personnel. Limping is bad enough, but when you have multiple doctors around you, it's never a good sign. Tolbert had three touchdowns in the game and was a key factor in San Diego's comeback win against the Vikings.
When's He Ready to Return?
Like I said earlier, when you have numerous people surrounding you on the sideline, it can't be a good diagnosis. We will learn more in the coming hours and days as to his status, but right now, it doesn't look good for Tolbert. The odds are that he'll miss at least next week with this injury.
Fantasy Impact
Needless to say, if you're a Tolbert owner, you're either kicking yourself for not starting him, concerned that your team is about to suffer a huge blow in the first week or both. With three touchdowns in the first game, it was clear he is a huge part of what the Chargers want to do on offense and was going to be a major touchdown vulture this season.
Obviously, this is in question now.
What They're Saying?
Once the injury happened, people were automatically concerned about his status. It looked like a hamstring, and with the type of effort it took to barely get to the sideline, it raised questions as to the severity of the injury.
When a pro football player can't make it to the bench, it's not a good sign, and in all likelihood, there's serious damage.
