Steven Jackson Injury Update: How Is Rams Star's Injured Quad?
Steven Jackson didn't wait long to end up in the injury report.
The oft-injured running back was effective in the early going, but ended up exiting early in the first half with a quad injury. Jackson went to the locker room and never returned as Cadillac Williams took over in the back field. This was the start of St. Louis' awful day, as the team went on to suffer injuries to Danny Amendola and Sam Bradford.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jackson was diagnosed with a strained quadriceps muscle, which obviously is the preliminary diagnosis. With the running back's injury history, a strain could keep him out of practice for a little bit.
When's He Ready To Return?
According to the Rams, Jackson will undergo further diagnosis in the coming days to find out the true severity of the injury. With the rest of the injuries to the roster, you better believe the team and its fans are praying it's nothing worse.
Fantasy Impact
In Jackson's absence, Cadillac Williams took the ball and ran with it, providing one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal day for the Rams. Even if Jackson is okay to go for Week 2, Williams is worth a bench spot in most leagues, because inevitably, the Rams' star is going to tweak something. You can't ignore history, and if you do, your team will suffer.
What They're Saying
As you can imagine, with Jackson's injury history, it has become a running joke about his injury. Bill Simmons took the time to take a shot at the running back once he limped off of the field.
But as far as the plan going forward is concerned, Cadillac Williams proved that he can carry the load if Jackson can't go next week, doing a great job against the Philadelphia defense and proving the Rams were right to go out and get insurance for their fragile star.
