Seahawks vs. 49ers: TV Info, Over/Under, Spread and Final Pregame Prediction
The Seattle Seahawks come into the 2011 NFL campaign with hopes of building on last season’s success, but they have done nothing but add pieces that were terrible additions.
While Seattle’s additions do nothing for the team, it will be the San Francisco 49ers that have the distinctive advantage in the Week 1 matchup.
A superior run game and a better defense will be the 49ers' key to stealing the show on the West Coast.

TV Info: 4:15 p.m. EDT, FOX
Over/Under: 38
I would stay away from this game altogether, but if you had to pick it, it has to be the under. Neither offense is anywhere close to being good, and with a big divisional game in Week 1, both defenses will have their hard hats on.
Spread: San Francisco, minus-six
The spread is about right with the return of Frank Gore to the 49ers and the arrival of Tarvaris Jackson to Seattle. San Francisco’s offense will do a better job of exploiting Seattle’s defense.
Final Pregame Prediction: San Francisco 49ers, 24; Seattle Seahawks, 21
Both teams are complete enigmas and trying to pick a winner is a futile endeavor, but if I was faced with death and had to pick a winner, it would be the 49ers. Their offensive line and run game is better than Seattle’s, and that will be the difference.
