NFL Predictions Week 1: 5 QBs Guaranteed to Light Up the Scoreboard

John HickeySep 11, 2011

There are changes all over the face of the NFL entering Week 1 of the season. One thing we know, though, is that from the beginning we will see some quarterbacks putting up big numbers. Here are five signal callers we see as being in position to break out early to establish (or in at least one case reestablish) their credentials as the season finally gets underway.

Tony Romo, Dallas

1 of 5

The big guy is healthy again and he's got some quality connections in Dez Bryant and TE Jason Witten.

Sam Bradford, St. Louis

2 of 5

A year ago he was the great unknown, a No. 1 draft pick, but unproven. We like him to pick up where he left off, even against an improved Eagles' defensive secondary.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh

3 of 5

You have to like the fact that Ben Roethlisberger is 9-2 against the Ravens and has gone 158 consecutive throws without an interception. It doesn't hurt that he has big play men in Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace, too.

Michael Vick, Philadelphia

4 of 5

Does anyone have more to prove than Michael Vick? We don't think so.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta

5 of 5

He's come up with 33 wins his first three seasons, and even against a tough Bears defense, he's going to be the focus Sunday.
