Week 15 of the 2010 season was a major turning point for both the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Lions won their second straight game (and first on the road) for the first time since 2007, and the Bucs, in the middle of a magical turnaround season, effectively had their playoff hopes dashed.

Nine months and a lockout have transpired since then, but both teams have only gone through two regular season games since then.

Now, the Lions return to the scene of the crime, this time with a healthy starting quarterback. The Bucs will return to their home stadium (which will sport a bunch of empty seats) and attempt to avenge that backbreaking loss.

The Lions finished last season 6-10. The Bucs finished 10-6. Both expect to make a run at the playoffs this year, and both will be looking to make a statement today.

This game may not be as big as Thursday night's Saints-Packers opener, or even today's Ravens-Steelers game. This is still one of the biggest and most even matchups of the week, featuring two young up-and-coming teams with a lot to prove.

Playoff talk will surround the winner of this game, while the loser will hear lots of "are they for real?"
