Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Week 1: Stay Away from Cowboys in Week 1
Playing the matchups can be critical in the final outcome of your fantasy football season.
That’s why fantasy football fanatics should veer away from the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.
On offense, the Cowboys can be explosive, but they are facing one of the best defenses in the league in the New York Jets, which should limit some of their stars.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
On defense, even if new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan makes progress with the team, they are largely the same defense that was rained down upon in 2010, and I don’t see Ryan making that big a difference. Outside linebacker Anthony Spencer hasn’t appeared to make much progress and cornerback Mike Jenkins is questionable with a knee injury.
Start 'Em: Plaxico Burress, WR, New York Jets
Plaxico Burress is not only 34 years old and a few years removed from football, he’s also seen his fair share of nagging injuries this offseason.
But the little time he has shown on the field he has shown glimpses of his former star self, including an impressive diving touchdown catch against the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason.
Against the Cowboys secondary, I expect him to get off to a good start.
Sit Em: Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys
Tony Romo had the seventh-most points in fantasy in Yahoo! Sports leagues in 2009, but an injury in 2010 limited him to just four games. Coming back from injury in 2011, many people expect him to bounce back to his 2009 form.
But it won’t come in Week 1 against one of the league’s best defenses. Especially in New York. You can find a better quarterback option/matchup in Week 1.
Pass on Tony Romo, don’t pass with him.
