US Open Tennis 2011 Women's Final: TV Schedule, Start Time and Live Stream Info
The 2011 US Open final will feature American Serena Williams against Australian Samantha Stosur.
Serena dashed Caroline Wozniacki's hopes of winning her first Grand Slam with a comfortable victory in the semifinals while Stosur knocked off underdog Angelique Kerber.
Serena has been on an absolute roll at the US Open—she has not dropped a single set to date, and the closest she came to dropping a set came against Victoria Azarenka, where she closed the match out in a tiebreak.
She has been the favorite to win this tournament for quite some time, especially after two-time defending champion Kim Clijsters withdrew from the event.
On the other hand, Stosur was pushed to the limit against Kerber. The underdog won the second set against Stosur, but Kerber bounced back in the third to secure her spot in the final.
Williams and Stosur last met in the WTA Rogers Cup final, where Serena knocked off Stosur in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Things may be different this time around, but Serena is certainly the favorite. She is playing out of her mind and is seemingly playing like a player possessed.
The final will be available for live streaming on the official website of the US Open and will be aired live on CBS at 4 P.M. Eastern Time.
Be sure to tune in to see which one of these stars wins this year's title.
