TNA News: Eric Bischoff Talks Matt Hardy; Says Hardy Is 'Questionable Talent'
That's right folks, the king of questionable hires is commenting about not only Matt Hardy's hiring, but his character.
Don't get me wrong I am far from a Matt Hardy mark, I just find it funny how Bischoff can comment on any company's hiring practices. Especially after what he went through in WCW.
According to wrestlinginc.com; Bischoff was interviewed on the Monday Night Mayhem pod-cast and said:
""I think it was a great decision by TNA to release Matt Hardy. I honestly thought Matt was a questionable talent to begin with, not that he didn't have any value. In my opinion, there was a liability there, and it manifested itself,"
"
Bischoff added
"We've seen how Matt's issues and the baggage he brought to TNA evolved in the last few months, and there a few people that wanted to pull the plug on Matt Hardy sooner than they did. I think once TNA made the decision to pull the plug, I was quite honestly happy about it and thought it was long overdue.
"
It's interesting how he talks about Matt Hardy's "baggage", while Jeff Hardy is not only still employed by TNA; he is being allowed back in the ring. I think most would agree that drug trafficking charges trumps youtube videos and obnoxious tweets as baggage.
Granted, Matt's TNA tenure will always be marred by his poor work ethic and continual bashing of TNA.
However, even with those issues, should he be considered any less of a hire than his brother?
Dont get me wrong, I am not condoning Matt's decisions, including to drive while impaired. I just feel his situation may be slightly better than Jeff's.
In the end, hopefully, both Hardys will get right and Bischoff will start thinking before speaking..
