Tramon Williams Injury: Latest Update on Packers Star's Status
You knew it was coming.
You knew there were going to be some injuries in Week 1 and the first victim is Green Bay corner Tramon Williams. He left the game in the fourth quarter with a right shoulder injury after colliding with teammate Nick Collins who also left the game with a sore rest. The severity of Williams' injury is still unknown.
He was having a terrific game at the time of his injury. Williams had collected three tackles, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery in three quarters.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Who's the backup?
Jarrett Bush came in to replace Williams and Brees went after him on the very first play, a Saints incomplete pass. He provided solid coverage for the rest of the game.
But it's clear that Bush is a significant downgrade and losing Williams for a long period of time is really going to put their secondary behind the eight ball.
Devastation Scale: 6-out-of-10
The Packers are no strangers to losing key players on their team as they had a whopping 15 of them on IR last year.
Yet the secondary wasn't exactly deep going into the season and losing a starter of his caliber is not going to be an easy to replace.
Timeline For Return:
It's too early to give you a specific timetable, but I'd assume he will be out for at least one week. Considering they play the Carolina Panthers...it's not a big deal.
If it's a serve shoulder injury similar to the one Tony Romo suffered last season, the Packers are in trouble. Right now every possible scenario is in play. Head coach Mike McCarthy didn't exactly sound thrilled when asked about the injury after the game:
"Tramon Williams had a shoulder. I have no new information, but it didn't look good on the replay.
"
Doesn't exactly sound good does it?
Make sure to check back with Bleacher Report as information regarding his injury comes in.
It was a great night for the Green Bay Packers...but it comes with a price.
Stay tuned.
