Friday Night With The Milwaukee Bucks

Jesse MotiffNov 20, 2008

With the weather getting much colder in Milwaukee, my options for entertainment on a Friday night are becoming limited. Anyone that knows anything about people from Wisconsin knows two things: we love to drink and we love to eat.

The Bucks are offering a great promotion for tonight's game against the New York Knicks. For only 24 dollars, you get a ticket to the game and a voucher for all you can eat and drink.

HELLO, GOOD TIMES!!!

I expect an entertaining game as the Knicks seem to be adapting well to their new up-tempo offense. The Bucks have no shortage of players that like to throw up shots as well. Charlie Villanueva is likely to play tonight, only adding to available options for shot taking.

The Bucks desperately need a win. They blew the game in Utah on Wednesday after being up by 10 in the third quarter. The team fought their asses off to get back into the game after being down by 16 in the second quarter and actually led at halftime.

There are a couple of things that are becoming clear as the season goes on. Luke Ridnour is a nice player but Ramon Sessions is a star in the making. Sessions is simply electric when he's on the floor and good things happen with the ball in his hands. He's able to break down on-ball defenders and get to the hoop. He can finish once he gets to the hoop or he's able to distribute to the open player.

Andrew Bogut still needs to be the No. 1 option for the offense. Again, that doesn't mean that Bogut should take all the shots, but he should touch the ball on every offensive possession and become more of a creator. Bogut is a good passing big man and has shown nice touch around the rim as well. Let Bogut get the ball, face up towards the basket and good things will happen.

The Bucks need to beat marginal and bad teams in November and December when their schedule is most difficult. The Knicks are quite beatable and I expect the Bucks to pull out a win tonight and if not, at least I'll be well fed while I watch.
