Mayweather vs. Ortiz: Live Stream, PPV Info and Start Time
On Saturday September 17th the controversial Floyd Mayweather (41-0, 25 KOs) will make his highly anticipated return to the ring against Victor Ortiz (29-2-2, 22 KOs), for Ortiz's WBC welterweight title live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas,NV.
The 34-year-old Mayweather will be fighting for the first time in 16 months when he steps in the ring against the 24-year-old Ortiz.
The fight will be Ortiz's first defense of his WBC welterweight title, after beating Andre Berto in April of this year to obtain the title.
Mayweather enters the fight amid various distractions outside of the ring including multiple court cases that are pending.
The fight is apart of the "Star Power" HBO PPV event and is currently being hyped-up by the popular HBO series 24/7, where its showing the contrasting lifestyles the two fighters lives.
Ortiz's life has been full of struggles and disappointments, that he has overcome with his love for boxing, as opposed to Mayweather's life that is over-the-top and far from a struggle.
The undercard will feature a WBC Light Welterweight World Title fight between Alfonso Gomez and Saul Alvarez which will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles,CA, in addition to two other fights taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena which are the WBC Super Lightweight World Title fight between Erik Morales and Lucas Matthyesse, and a light welterweight bout between Josesito Lopez against Jesus Vargas.
