Fantasy Football Week 1: 3 Receivers Headed Towards Massive Days

Richard LangfordJun 7, 2018

Three receivers are going to light it up this week in fantasy football. They will dominate their opponents on the field, and in the process will help their fantasy owners dominate their opponents.

Roddy White

Roddy White is likely going to have a lot of huge fantasy weeks this year, but he may not have many bigger than he will in Week 1.

The Falcons are taking on the Chicago Bears. The Falcons offensive line is not as strong as it was last year and the Bears run defense is a daunting opponent. This is going to lead to the Falcons taking to the air to try and beat the Bears.

And when the Falcons take to the air, it more often than not lands in Roddy White's hands.

White's Week 1 Prediction: 8 catches, 154 yards, 2 TDs

Brandon Lloyd

Brandon Lloyd would never say it, but I think you can rest assured he is happy that Kyle Orton wasn't traded. The Broncos passing offense looked strong this preseason, and they are going to be going against a Raiders pass defense that struggled mightily in the preseason.

Lloyd is going to move around the field in this one, and the further he gets from Stanford Routt the more favorable matchups he will find.

Lloyd's Week 1 Prediction: 7 catches, 105 yards, 1 TD

Vincent Jackson

After missing almost the entire season due to holdout and suspension in 2010, Jackson is ready to roll in Week 1 this year. Jackson is going to put up big numbers all year.

The Chargers receiver corps is not as deep as it was last year. This is going to mean plenty of passes going Jackson's way, and when those passes are coming from Philip Rivers, they are going to be on target.

Jackson is going to feast on the Minnesota defense.

Jackson's Week 1 Prediction:  6 catches, 134 yards, 2 TDs
