2011 Week One Fantasy Football Start/Sit
Fantasy football is a tricky game. It gets even trickier when you have to decide between a plethura of players to whether start or sit, especially in week one.
Today, I’ll tell you some borderline guys that you are going to want in your fantasy lineup and some guys you best leave on the bench. Believe me, it is very hard to do in week one, so my editions after this will be much more extensive. Without further ado, here are you starts/sits for week one.

| QB | Kyle Orton | vs. Oaklandnd |
| QB | Josh Freeman | vs. Detroit |
| QB | Kevin Kolb | vs. Carolina |
| RB | Ahmad Bradshaw | @ Washington |
| RB | Jahvid Best | @ Tampa Bay |
| RB | Mike Tolbert | vs. Minnesota |
| WR | Chad Ochocinco | @ Miami |
| WR | AJ Green | @ Cleveland |
| WR | Jacoby Jones | vs. Indianapolis |
| TE | Jared Cook | @ Jacksonville |
| TE | Zach Miller | @ San Francisco |
| DEF/ST | Arizona Cardinal | vs. Carolina |
Player that intrigues me the most:
AJ Green: I doubt he is going to be able to be a dominant force in the fantasy world this year, thanks to a rookie QB throwing him the ball, severely limiting his upside. However, starting out the season against the Browns? I would go ahead and start him in week one and go from there. Could be a one week wonder, who knows? It’s worth a shot.
Honorable Mention:
Knowshon Moreno: Kyle Orton knows he has to play well to keep his job. If he can do that, I was right on picking starts for the week. If they can get ahead, it’ll be Moreno taking the workload in the second half, which would make fantasy owners happy. What scares me is that the Raiders have enough offensive prowess to keep up with the Broncos, so that may not happen.
Sits
| QB | Joe Flacco | vs. Piittsburgh |
| QB | Drew Brees | @ Green Bay |
| RB | Rashard Mendenhall | @ Baltimore |
| RB | Ryan Matthews | vs. Minnesota |
| RB | Ryan Grant | vs. New Orleans |
| WR | Jeremy Maclin | @ St. Louis |
| WR | Percy Harvin | @ San Diego |
| TE | Greg Olsen | @ Arizona |
| TE | Brandon Pettigrew | @ Tampa Bay |
| DEF | Chicago Bears | vs. Atlanta |
Player that intrigues me the most:
Percy Harvin: He’s playing with a new QB and Sidney Rice isn’t lining up opposite of him anymore. We saw how ineffective he was last year when Rice was out. Now not only is Rice not there, but McNabb is the passer. Doesn’t exactly sound like a recipe for success, especially not in the first week.
Honorable mention:
DeAngelo Williams: The Cardinals have a pretty good run defense, Williams is in a timeshare with Jonathan Stewart and they will probaly be behind from the get-go. You might want to avoid him this week.
