Sir Alex Ferguson: FC Barcelona Is Not the Only Best Team

Sir Alex Ferguson declared that FC Barcelona is not the only best team in the history of world football (soccer). Ferguson made these declarations in an interview with Correire dello Sport and published online by Univision.

Ferguson went ahead and praised the Italian team of AC Milan under Franco Baresi, Roberto Donadoni and Carlo Ancelotti. Ferguson commented about how every team had their historic moments.

While attempting to agree with Ferguson, he forgot one important point concerning his criticism of FC Barcelona. Sir Alex Ferguson may have forgotten what transpired between Ancelotti and AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi when the latter was manager.

In the year 2009, Berlusconi accused Ancelotti of "wasting" the AC Milan season with his managerial tactics. AC Milan responded to the accusations by Berlusconi by holding a press conference in Tirana, Albania over the Berlusconi vs. Ancelotti controversy.

During the press conference, Ancelotti was not allowed to make any statements. Adriano Galliani (AC Milan Vice President) stated that he has not been able to talk with Berlusconi in order to clarify the comments.

I do not know if the comments are aimed directly at the upcoming match between FC Barcelona and AC Milan. I also would like to say that a team like FC Barcelona (like all teams) should not be underestimated.

I may predict an FC Barcelona victory against AC Milan with AC Milan battling to the last minute. It remains to be seen what will transpire.
