US Open Tennis 2011: Wednesday Schedule, Preview and Bracket Update
The 2011 US Open was put on hold Tuesday due to heavy rains, forcing matches scheduled for Tuesday to be pushed back until Wednesday. After Arthur Ashe Kid's Day was cancelled, the US Open was hoping the weather would permit play throughout the tournament, obviously that was not the case.
Not to worry. A great day of US Open tennis awaits us Wednesday. Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal put their tournament lives at stake. With Murray battling back from down two sets in his last match and Nadal falling victim to frightening leg cramps in a US Open press conference, neither are locks to advance this round.
It's not surprising to see No. 28 seed Serena Williams bust her way through the bracket and make her way into the quarterfinals. A win on Wednesday would push her into a highly anticipated match against top seed Caroline Wozniacki.
