WWE: If There Is an "Invasion Angle," Here Are the Guys That May Be Involved

David LevinSep 7, 2011

As soon as Kevin Nash and Triple H stood nose to nose in the ring, you knew what was going to happen.

So much for drama and the unexpected to happen.

Nash and his "best" friend are not at odds, although CM Punk is still not convinced of this "dramatic" turn of events.

It is odd that Punk makes comments about Triple H's wife, Stephanie McMahon, and gets in the COO's face about everything and it is Nash that is the one who gets laid out because of last week's turn of events and the "lie" told around the wrestling world.

It would appear that with Nash being "fired" there will be another angle for us to witness in two weeks at "Night of Champions" which most likely will be an "Invasion" story or the forming of a new NWO, which was not as successful as creative had hoped the second time around.

Kevin Nash is not the performer or voice he used to be and looks a little out of sorts, a little lost and in need of someone to help him get through the segment—and remember his tag team partner Scott Hall is nowhere in sight.

So, the next question is "Who is joining the team?" Which wrestlers will be involved in this angle and who will side with Triple H or CM Punk, or both? Who will surprise fans and who will just sit back and wait to see what happens?

Here is a handicapping of sorts on who may be involved without odds on this happening.

Kevin Nash

1 of 9

Of course, he is the point man in all this.

Nash and Scott Hall were the founders of the great nWo and caused all kinds of havoc on WCW and in the wrestling universe.

He is not as good on the mic as he used to be, but hell, he is still Kevin Nash and one bad ass.

CM Punk

I still think there is a chance that Nash and Punk are in this together.

Punk has the brass to do something like this and even if it is not through Nash, Punk could be leading a revolution of his own.

He always seems to get the best of the McMahons, whether it is Vince or Triple H.

Triple H

He's got two words for you.

He's COO.

Actually, what better way to prove to CM Punk that he is a man on his own then to start his own revolution?

And, he knows a thing or two about stables. DX and Evolution were two of the best EVER.

The Miz and R-Truth

4 of 9

Two men who have been getting a push from none other than CM Punk himself.

Both are great singles competitors and are developing into a better tag team.

Can they be satisfied with being second or third wheel in this little venture?

Stephanie McMahon

5 of 9

OK, so it may not just be guys involved in all this.

McMahon could be involved in this as the middle women.

If she sides against her husband, it is because he took over for daddy.

If she sides with her husband it is to rid the WWE of Punk.

Alberto Del Rio

6 of 9

Somehow, he can still get involved in this.

Punk was never mad at him for cashing in the MITB contract.

Del Rio is so disliked, it makes sense for him to maybe join forces against the company.

Shawn Michaels

7 of 9

I throw him in for two reasons.

He can say Triple H disrespected him and side with Kevin Nash.

Or he can defend his best friend and challenge Nash at a PPV event.

X-Pac

8 of 9

Sean Waltman always stirs controversy wherever he goes.

This would be no different.

In the nWo, he was the little tag along.

It would work that way here as well.

Colt Cabana

9 of 9

Punk's best friend and the one who got away from the WWE Punk's estimation.

Cabana could lead a revolt of ROH wrestlers into WWE.
