Player Updates |

12/13 - Sapp saw his stats deplete relative to his fellow Hoyas as he picked up his third foul late in the first half. He still grabbed seven rebounds and a rare block, although he only managed six points and one assist. |
12/08 - Sapp had a joint-game high 14 points in Georgetown's blowout of Savannah State. He was five for seven from the floor, his only two misses coming from beyond the arc as he went two for four with the long ball, and was perfect from the foul line. Sapp continues to control the ball very well and is filling the void the Jonathan Wallace left very nicely. |
12/06 - Sapp hit the first bucket of the game, a three assisted by Chris Wright, in Georgetown's routing of American. He was four for five from beyond the arc, and five for seven from the floor. He also grabbed four rebounds, and had one steal and one turnover. |
11/22 - Sapp played well against Drexel, connecting on both three point attempts. He also grabbed five steals in only twenty-three minutes. |
11/17 - Sapp looked solid on the court, hitting all six of his free throws and connecting on 2-of-3 attempts inside the arc. From three-point range, though, he was only 1-of-4. Look for this stat to increase as the season goes on. |
Preseason - Jessie Sapp's role is going to increase this year. As one of two seniors on the team, he has the experience of visiting the Big Dance three times and the leadership from being a starter last year. With Jonathan Wallace having graduated, he is going to be one of the focal points of the Hoya offense. |
