    The NHL has its share of great looking jerseys, but so do the minor league, Olympic, foreign leagues, and college teams that represent the sport.

    Let's look at the 50 best non-NHL jerseys in hockey history.

Abbotsford Heat (AHL)

Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) 2008-09

    This Cincinnati Cyclones jersey really does a god job complementing the primary black color with red and yellow stripes. The logo is also pretty cool.

Florida Everblades (ECHL) 2009-10

    Even though hockey isn't a big part of the Florida way of life, its pro and minor league teams have some solid jerseys.

Rouyn-Noranda Huskies

Portland Pirates (2010/11)

    The Portland Pirates have a very cool logo and a well-designed red, black, and white sweater. Like the Sabres, they always have nice jerseys.

Elmira Jackals (ECHL) 2006-07

    This jersey is great in every area, and it has a nice, modern look to it. Great use of red, white, and blue. 

    Pretty intimidating logo as well.

Providence Bruins (AHL) 2007-08

    A simple, yet effective jersey from the Providence Bruins, who are the Boston Bruins minor league squad.

Plymouth Whalers

    This is a fantastic jersey that effectively utilizes the logo colors on the jersey. 

Minnesota Golden Gophers

Connecticut Whale (AHL) 2010-11

    If Connecticut is going to have a hockey team, they might as well bring back the Hartford Whalers. Regardless of that, however, these jerseys are amazing.

Colorado Eagles (CHL) 2005-06

    The Colorado Eagles 2006 jersey is really cool and quite colorful as well. I particularly like the three claws on the front and back of the sweater.

Maine (NCAA)

    Although not an amazingly designed sweater, the University of Maine blue jerseys are a favorite among college hockey fans.

Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) 2007-08

    A pretty cool jersey from the Milwaukee Admirals, it even uses the awesome vintage logo of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Boston College (NCAA)

Manitoba Moose (AHL) 2007-08
